Even though we live in the Southern Hemisphere and technically for us Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) is around Easter time, it is hard to ignore the skeletons lining the shop windows and the jumbo-sized lolly packets overtaking the shelves.
Traditionally Samhain is the end of harvest and the beginning of winter. It’s a time to pause and to welcome the quieter months, to reflect, remember and to renew.
Here in the Southern Hemisphere, our world is bursting with colour and energy, but the hotter days also invite a slowing down, a mindfulness and a slowing down.
And because Samhain is my favourite time of the year (hello, one hundredth rewatch of Jack, Sally and Oogie Boogie), I have a special Samhain/Halloween-inspired download for my LilliBean Community Members.
