SUMMER IN THE STUDIO

It’s well and truly Summer here in the studio, with a week of 40-plus days, and the promised cool change seemingly disappeared. At the beginning of January, we stayed at my brother’s house on the coast and spent seven days at the beach, floating on the waves, collecting shells, and on our last day, watching dolphins play in the waves alongside us.

Summer in the studio is hazy days blending together, catching up on sleep, having a Stranger Things marathon (we’ve just started season 5 #no spoilers), lots of planning, decluttering sections of my house, and reading the TBR pile under the cool air conditioning.

Not so much painting (that will have to wait til mid February at this stage because of the heat), but I have been dabbling with Procreate on my iPad, and I have dug out an old cross-stitch to work on in the evenings.

I have so much brewing in the studio this year, I can’t wait to share what I am planning this year and beyond, and I am embracing my words of the year – Wonder and Alchemy. (I will share more about these words in a later post)

First up for the year is a new email provider and a new website, both of which are perfect to work on during the hot summer days.
