SUMMER STORMS AND STUDIO MUSINGS

As I am writing this, a massive summer storm has just rolled in.

Thunder, lightning, sideways rain and wind that’s just snapped the ties of our balcony blinds, which are now wildly flying about.

I’ve let Baxter inside – he still thinks he’s a six-month-old puppy and can fit in the footwell of my desk. I didn’t realise until he came home, how much German Shepherds sigh, and how much they sigh their displeasure.

The studio is so dark it feels like night, and as much as I love summer storms, this one is a little scary with its violence.

As much as I would love to storm watch, I don’t have time, because this weekend is my last Canberra Market for the year – Handmade. My wee beastie will be with me, and I am warning you, she is a very zealous salesperson. (Please be gentle if she comes across too eager, but honestly, she’ll probably be hiding under the table watching 9-1-1 and drawing on her iPad.)

So I’m just quickly popping in to give you a little update on what’s been happening in the studio.

The project that I’ve been working on with the smaller wee wee beasties is done – and they are super cute (look for the plant on my stall set up to see them). I have made 15 wee beastie cats that are part of the Santa’s Workshop collection (pairing with Mr + Mrs Claus and the Christmas Elf)

I have new prints, framed Oracle paintings, the new DAY DREAM collection, and some new mini moonscapes, all of which I am super excited to share with you over the weekend.

Finally, the countdown to Christmas seems to have sped up! I’ve been caught on the back foot, thinking that I had more time. In that vein, I want to let you know about shipping deadlines.

For overseas shipping, the last day to purchase to guarantee Christmas delivery (according to Australia Post!) is the 3rd of December. For Australian orders, purchase by Monday 15th for standard shipping and Friday 19th for express post.
