The Sea Nymph

The other day I was packing for River and Wren, when behind a stack of boxes I found a painting that I hung in my exhibition last year, but that I had never actually shared with you all!

I have had these largish square panels in my studio for absolutely ages now – I think I may have even bought them in my very first art supply orders.

During the big canvas clean out of 2018 I found these panels again, and decided to use one for my exhibition.

And that is how the sea nymph came to be. She is the siren of the sea with her black hair and purple eyes, but she is protected from the greedy land dwellers who wish to keep her, by all her little jellyfish friends, so that she is free to roam the oceans.

The Sea Nymph

A kid said to me last week “ya know that mermaids aren’t real don’t you?” I said to the kid, maybe, or maybe they are super clever and know to stay hidden until we humans become smarter and kinder.” The kid just smiled at me and I could see he was thinking, maybe. Just maybe!

We can only hope!

Anyway the SEA NYMPH is now available for purchase – she comes framed and is available to click and collect now!
