‘AFTER THE STORM THERE IS MORE RAIN’.

AFTER THE STORM THERE IS MORE RAIN is a painting from the ‘AFTER THE STORM SERIES’ other wise known as the lock down paintings.

During lockdown there were some very dark moments, both in my life and in the world, and I would wake up each morning with what felt like an elephant on my chest.

With each news report, each facebook post, each conversation in the supermarket at an accepted socially distant measurement,  the world seem darker, scarier, and full of uncertainty.

One day I decided to turn off all the news and socials and instead of jumping into home schooling I was going to take an hour to paint.

And the AFTER THE STORM SERIES was created.

Sometimes at the after the storm, there is more rain, but then the rainbows come again.

AFTER THE STORM THERE IS MORE RAIN is a mixed media painting, on hot pressed water colour paper.

AFTER THE STORM THERE IS MORE RAIN is A5 in size which measures approx 15cm x 21cm. (Please note: Colour intensity may vary from screen to screen.)

AFTER THE STORM THERE IS MORE RAIN is not sent to you framed (as to reduce the postage costs!) however it will fit into any A5 frame easily.
